Senior BIM & Drafting Manager

FULL-TIME | ONTARIO, CANADA | CONSTRUCTION / STRUCTURAL FORMWORK

Position Overview

FormCore Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior BIM & Drafting Manager to lead drafting production, BIM coordination, and BIM management for construction projects. The successful candidate must be able to independently prepare accurate shop drawings in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD while coordinating models, resolving technical issues, and establishing effective BIM workflows.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, review, and revise detailed 2D/3D construction, structural, and formwork shop drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, details, layouts, and installation drawings, using Revit and AutoCAD from approved design documents.

· Conceptualize and develop new architectural design projects in SketchUp, producing 3D concept models, design options, and presentation visuals for client and team review.

· Develop, maintain, and coordinate project BIM models across structural, architectural, and relevant trade disciplines.

· Incorporate engineering comments, RFIs, site conditions, design changes, and drawing revisions, and ensure drawings and coordinated model outputs align with approved project changes.

· Identify and resolve model clashes and coordination issues, where required.

· Check drawing and model accuracy, quality, constructability, coordination, and document control before issue.





· Lead BIM standards, model quality checks, naming conventions, file organization, and model-sharing workflows.

· Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific BIM deliverables.

· Plan BIM coordination milestones, monitor deliverables, and guide drafting/BIM team members.

· Coordinate with engineers, consultants, site teams, subcontractors, and project managers.

· Improve production efficiency and maintain consistent drafting and BIM processes across projects.

Required Qualifications

· Diploma or degree in civil/structural engineering, architectural technology, construction technology, or a related field.

· Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD & SketchUp (mandatory).

· Demonstrated experience producing construction shop drawings (mandatory).

· Proven experience in BIM coordination and BIM management, including multidisciplinary model review.

· Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and translate them into constructible details.

· Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and independent work skills.
