Job Summary

As a Local Truck Driver - Class 1, transport freight safely and reliably on local routes. Coordinate pickups and deliveries, handle cargo carefully, and keep vehicle and delivery records accurate. Your work helps customers receive freight on schedule and gives colleagues dependable updates to plan loading and dispatch.

Responsibilities

- Operate a truck on assigned local routes and follow safe driving practices.
- Load, unload, secure, and inspect freight; use a forklift when needed and appropriate.
- Complete delivery documentation, report delays or cargo concerns, and communicate route updates.
- Check vehicle condition, identify maintenance issues, and perform basic automotive repairs when appropriate.

Qualifications

Required:



Practical commercial driving capability, safe freight handling, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and maintain accurate records. Preferred: Forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair skills, along with related experience that supports efficient loading, vehicle care, and dependable local deliveries.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
