About the Role

North Country Property Maintenance Inc. is seeking experienced, reliable, and protected Snow Removal Equipment Operators to join our winter operations team in the Orillia area.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating equipment such as loaders, tractors, and sidewalk machines to maintain commercial properties during winter weather events.

This is a weather dependant, on call position requiring full availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including daytime, overnight, mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Operators must be prepared to respond to snowfall and changing weather conditions as directed.

Work is weather dependent and will begin as soon as the snow flies. In person Company orientation and training will take place in mid to late November.

The position offers a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week from November 16 through March 14, with additional hours available during weather events.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate loaders, tractors, sidewalk machines, and other snow removal equipment to clear commercial properties.
- Safely and efficiently clear parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, walkways, and access routes.
- Operate spreaders and salters to apply salt and sand as required.
- Complete equipment inspections as directed and report mechanical issues or maintenance concerns immediately.
- Monitor site conditions while working and identify potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, snow shovelers, and other coworkers during snow events and as required.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating loaders, tractors, or sidewalk machines to remove snow from commercial properties.




- Valid Ontario G Class driver's licence (or equivalent licence from another Canadian province) with a clean driver's abstract.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely and independently in winter conditions.
- Full 24/7 availability throughout the entire winter season, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
- Attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to workplace safety.
- CSA approved work boots, Hi Vis, and winter clothing appropriate for outdoor winter work.

Assets:

- Experience operating Kubota M6, Kubota SSV75P, Kubota LX2610, CAT 914, CAT 924, Veneri 5.63, or similar equipment.
- Previous experience operating spreaders and salters.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- DZ or AR driver's licence.
- Experience transporting heavy equipment.
- Additional equipment operating experience in other applications.
