Overview

As a Food Counter Attendant, you’ll prepare and serve food, process customer orders, and help keep counter and kitchen areas clean, organized, and welcoming. You’ll support smooth service by working efficiently, handling transactions accurately, and communicating courteously with customers and colleagues.

Duties

- Prepare and serve food while following food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Take orders, operate a POS system, process payments, and handle cash accurately; use Micros POS where applicable.
- Provide attentive customer service, answer questions, and suggest suitable items through considerate upselling.
- Keep work areas clean and stocked, coordinate with kitchen and service colleagues, and manage tasks during busy periods.

Experience

Required: Practical food preparation, secure food handling, sanitation, basic math, time management, cashiering, cash handling, and customer service capabilities support daily counter duties. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, food industry, serving, or kitchen experience is helpful, as is familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, and confidence suggesting menu items.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
