Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate/ Forklift Operator to join their team in Etobicoke. Our client operates within the industrial steel distribution and service centre sector, supplying materials to commercial and industrial customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking for secure, full-time work with the potential to secure permanent employment.

The successful candidate will initially be employed through our agency, with the opportunity to transition to direct employment with our client after completing 480 hours, subject to performance and the client's hiring requirements.

Key Responsibilities

This position consists of approximately 70% warehouse duties and 30% forklift operation.

- Pick, prepare, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and put away incoming materials.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move and position materials safely.
- Operate company forklifts and small hoists as required.
- Prepare third-party shipments for customers.




- Assist truck drivers with shipment preparation and loading when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational requirements.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of warehouse distribution experience required.
- 3–5 years of forklift operating experience required.
- Valid forklift licence or certification required.
- Hands-on experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift is strongly preferred.
- Experience with receiving, picking, packing, put-away, shipping, and material handling.
- Ability to handle industrial materials safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a team environment.
- Secondary school education preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
