What You’ll Do:

As a Cashier (Bilingual), you’ll be a vital part of the Ottawa store team, reporting directly to the Store Manager. Your responsibilities include:

- Operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process transactions
- Greet customers promptly and courteously, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere
- Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, and general support throughout the store
- Handle all cash, credit, and debit card transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and report discrepancies
- Maintain an organized, clean, and stocked checkout and front-of-store area
- Communicate product features, uses, and benefits to customers to support sales
- Share expertise in woodworking and metalworking to guide customers toward the right products
- Stay informed on current promotions, new arrivals, and product knowledge updates
- Support merchandising,



restocking, and inventory efforts as needed
- Follow all store policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention protocols
- Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned
- Report customer concerns, feedback, or unusual incidents to management promptly
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store sales and customer service targets.
- Being available to work on Saturdays.

Qualifications:

- Cash Handling: Must have at least 2 years of experience as a cashier in a retail environment!
- Bilingual: Fluency in French and English is a must!

- Career-Oriented: A desire to grow and take pride in your work.
