When the Store Manager is away, you will act as Manager-on-Duty and take responsibility for the store during your shift.

- Proven ability to coach and improve sales performance
- Comfortable teaching upselling, cross-selling and closing techniques
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Comfortable managing KPIs and individual employee performance
- Hands-on leader who leads from the floor, not from behind a workstation

- Organized, reliable and able to operate without constant supervision
- Comfortable in a structured, performance-driven retail environment
Assets
- Experience in a corporate or multi-location retail environment
- High-volume retail experience
- Automotive, automotive parts or technical retail experience
Compensation

What Success Looks Like
A successful Assistant Store Manager is more than a senior associate.
You are expected to help the Store Manager produce a team that can engage customers, identify opportunities, recommend complete solutions and close sales confidently.
When you are Manager-on-Duty, the store remains organized, customers are being served, phones are being answered, associates know their priorities and operational work continues to move.
You should be able to step into the Manager’s role during their absence and keep the store performing to standard.
