Position Title: Security Guard

Pay Rate: $19.67/hr
Site: North York Office
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Site Overview

The North York office is a key operational hub for one of Ontario's primary energy providers. This site supports essential daily operations and customer service functions within a professional facility focused on workplace safety, innovation, and community impact.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage access control and conduct regular property patrols.

- Monitor CCTV cameras and fire panels to maintain site safety and security.

- Respond promptly to emergency situations and security incidents.

- Greet tenants, clients, and visitors, providing helpful guidance and directions.

- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly security logs and incident reports accurately and submit them to management.

- Maintain a safe work environment by following established health and safety procedures and using equipment correctly.

- Build positive, respectful working relationships with tenants, staff, and visitors.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.

- Robust English communication skills, both written and spoken.

- Proficiency with Windows-based computers and digital incident reporting software.

- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs for extended periods in various weather conditions.

- Ability to provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Check upon request.

Nice-to-Haves

- At least 1 year of security-related experience.

- Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and fire equipment.

- Understanding of relevant federal, provincial, and municipal laws and bylaws.

- Post-secondary diploma or degree.
