Support special needs students as a Temporary Educational Assistant with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. Work full-time, 35 hours weekly.

This 1.0 FTE, 10-month position runs from November 30, 2026, through June 30, 2027. You will assist teachers with prescribed programs, Individualized Education Plans, classroom routines, and student development. The work includes individual and group settings, personal care, behaviour support, and general school duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with prescribed programs for special needs students
- Support lessons, projects, crafts, charts, and teaching materials
- Observe and report academic, motor, social, and behavioural development
- Assist with feeding, toileting, clothing changes, and transitions




- Support behaviour management, supervision, routines, and field trips

Requirements:

- Post-secondary educational assistant program or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience working with children
- Ability to perform toileting and lifting tasks
- Positive, empathetic attitude toward students
- Discretion with confidential information and basic computer knowledge
