Position Overview

Blink ESS is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to manage and coordinate energy storage projects from planning through completion.

This role requires someone who understands BESS project delivery, can coordinate engineering and construction teams, manage contractors and suppliers, and ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and schedules.

We are looking for someone who has worked directly on BESS projects, understands the technical and commercial aspects of project execution, and can take ownership of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage BESS projects from planning and development handover through procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
- Coordinate engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Review project proposals, quotations, technical documents, and procurement requirements.
- Monitor project costs, identify budget variances, and manage change orders.
- Identify project risks, delays,



and potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate site activities, installation progress, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress reports to management.
- Ensure project documentation, permits, inspections, and applicable requirements are completed.
- Support communication between customers, engineering teams, suppliers, and contractors.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years of direct experience working on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
- Completed bachelor's degree or higher in an eligible engineering discipline, excluding Civil Engineering and Architecture.
- Engineering degree must be from a Canadian institution or an institution listed on the CRA Recognized Universities and Higher Educational Institutions Outside Canada list, subject to company verification.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical or engineering projects.
- Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project execution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve project issues.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.




- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Able to work in person in Mississauga and travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with commercial, industrial, or utility-scale BESS projects.
- Knowledge of battery systems, inverters, power conversion systems (PCS), and energy management systems (EMS).
- Experience with BESS installation, commissioning, and performance testing.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project management software.
