NOW HIRING – Experienced PSW / Dementia Caregiver

Part-Time | 20 Hours Per Week | Private Family Residence

Location: Springwater, approximately 10 minutes from Bayfield Street, Barrie.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) or dementia caregiver to

provide care and support for a family member living with dementia in our private home.

This is a dual-role position combining exceptional dementia care with general household support.

Responsibilities

Dementia Care & Personal Support

- Provide compassionate, attentive care for an individual living with dementia.

- Offer companionship, supervision, and assistance with daily routines.

- Maintain a protected, comfortable, and supportive environment.

- Recognize and appropriately respond to dementia-related behaviours.

- Monitor and communicate any changes in condition or behaviour to family members.

Household Responsibilities

- General household cleaning and tidying.

- Meal planning, preparation, and kitchen cleanup.

- Laundry and household organization.

- Assistance with miscellaneous household tasks as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

- PSW certification preferred.





- Previous hands-on dementia care experience is mandatory.

- Strong understanding of dementia-related behaviours and care techniques.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Reliable, punctual, patient, discreet, and respectful.

- A recent Vulnerable Sector Check / criminal background check is required.

- At least two recent, verifiable professional references are required.

Position Details

Hours: 20 - 25 hours per week

Employment: Part-time, ongoing

Location: Private family residence in Springwater, approximately 10 minutes from Bayfield Street.

Compensation: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
