About this Role

We are seeking a hands-on and self-driven Industrial Maintenance Team Lead to support the daily maintenance, reliability, and safety of company equipment and systems.

This role combines hands-on mechanical maintenance with team leadership and administrative responsibilities, including preventive maintenance planning, maintenance documentation, inventory tracking, and coordination of daily maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Operations Manager and maintenance team to ensure equipment remains in protected working condition and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment failures, and perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and plant facilities.
- Work with motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and other industrial equipment.
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and new projects, including welding and fabrication as required.
- Identify equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvements to minimize downtime.
- Assist with developing and maintaining SOPs, maintenance schedules, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain and update work orders, maintenance logs, equipment records, and reports using Excel.
- Track maintenance inventory, including spare parts, tools, consumables, and supplies.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and provide hands-on guidance and support to maintenance team members.
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining documentation, updating spreadsheets, and organizing maintenance records.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience with electronics and PLCs; AC and DC motors and controls are an asset.
- Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized equipment.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to accurately complete designs, SOPs, maintenance logs, and project records.

Qualifications And Experience

- Minimum of 8–10 years of hands-on maintenance mechanic experience is required.
- Industrial Millwright / Certified Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal) preferred, or equivalent field experience.
- MMP or CMRP credentials or proven experience a must.
- Welding experience is required.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment, experience in a MRF is an asset
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding work in hot, noisy, dusty, indoor and outdoor environments.
- Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, stand for long periods, and lift to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Schedule

- 8-hour shift.
- Monday to Friday.
- Overtime.
- Weekends as needed.

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
