TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a_ MAZATROL PROGRAMMER _in the Edmonton area. This is a permanent position, primarily shop-based, and the candidate must be willing to relocate to the Edmonton region if not currently local to the area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional who specializes in Mazatrol programming and machining processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and optimizing CNC programs, supporting production operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment serving the energy sector.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Program, simulate, and verify Mazatrol and CNC programs for new and existing components.
- Model parts and verify customer-supplied and internally generated models against engineering drawings.
- Develop machining strategies, including tooling selection, setup plans, and machining sequences.
- Optimize programs to improve cycle times, setup efficiency, and tool life.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain CNC program and model databases, including revisions, machine assignments, and validation records.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Provide technical guidance and support to setters and machine operators.
- Assist with quoting activities and feasibility reviews for complex or non-standard projects.
- Support shop operations and cross-functional production activities as required.

Must have:

- 7+ years of CNC programming experience,



preferably within the oil and gas manufacturing sector.
- Strong experience creating and optimizing Mazatrol programs.
- Experience with CNC turning and milling operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
- Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency programming and editing G-code.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work extended periods standing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to the Edmonton area if currently residing outside the region.

Nice to have:

- Red Seal Journeyman Machinist certification.
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience with Mastercam.
- Experience with CIMCO software.
- Multi-axis machining experience, including 7-axis equipment.
- Experience supporting quoting, process planning, and manufacturing feasibility reviews.
