We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to provide strong leadership across finance operations and facility-related services in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role supports senior leadership by guiding daily accounting activities, strengthening financial reporting, and helping ensure maintenance services are delivered effectively. The successful candidate will bring a practical, detail-oriented approach to budgeting, team supervision, and operational coordination within a service-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with organizational standards.
- Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial reporting, supporting timely close processes and informed decision-making.
- Lead accounts payable and other core finance functions while monitoring workflows for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Support the development, tracking, and review of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to help guide operational planning.
- Supervise finance and maintenance team members, providing direction, setting priorities, and promoting consistent performance.
- Coordinate maintenance services and vendor agreements, ensuring building-related work is scheduled, monitored, and completed appropriately.
- Assist with maintenance, repair, and renovation initiatives by tracking progress, managing priorities, and helping resolve operational issues.
- Maintain effective use of accounting, information, and maintenance systems, including spreadsheet-based analysis and reporting.
- Ensure maintenance activities align with applicable Manitoba safety and health requirements and established workplace standards.




- Post-secondary education in accounting or a related discipline.
- An accounting designation is considered an asset.
- At least five years of experience in an accounting and operations leadership position.
- Solid hands-on experience with budgeting, month-end close, year-end processes, and financial review activities.
- Proficiency with computerized accounting platforms, Microsoft Excel, and related business systems; experience with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and broader accounting operations within a complex organization.
- Familiarity with building maintenance coordination, including renovation planning and contract oversight.
- Excellent judgement, analytical ability, communication skills, and a high level of accuracy and organization.
