As a Long Haul B-train Truck Driver, you will transport our roll off bins from Burnaby, BC to Drayton Valley, AB, 2 times per week. You hold a Class 1 Drivers License and have several years of secure driving experience driving to and from Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle on planned long-distance routes and follow applicable road and safety procedures. Maintain required Logs.
- Inspect the vehicle before and during trips, report concerns, and arrange appropriate maintenance.
- Secure freight, monitor loads, and complete accurate delivery and trip records.
- Drive and prepare vehicle for various road conditions including installation of tire chains.
- Communicate route progress, delays, and delivery status to dispatch.
Skills
Required: Practical commercial driving capability, sound judgment on the road, attention to vehicle condition, and clear communication support safe freight transport and reliable trip records. Preferred: Experience handling freight, heavy equipment operation, or basic truck repair can help with loading coordination, equipment awareness, and routine vehicle maintenance.
