Apply occupational health and safety expertise as Northern Lights College’s HSE Advisor, supporting campus inspections, compliance, and workplace prevention programs.

This six-month Health, Safety and Environment Advisor term reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources and Payroll. The position develops, manages, and administers occupational health, safety, and workplace workplace programs. It also supports WorksafeBC coordination, employee advice, investigations, and Joint OH&S; Committee consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage Northern Lights College occupational safety programs and activities
- Accompany WorksafeBC officers during College premises inspections
- Coordinate meetings and communications with WorksafeBC




- Conduct monthly campus inspections and workplace investigations
- Advise employees on safety and prevention practices

Requirements:

- Certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Five years of directly related experience
- Current WHMIS instructor certification
- Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation
- Current valid driver’s license; travel required
