About us
Rockway Pharmacy is a small, family-owned community pharmacy in Kitchener offering prescription and non-prescription health and wellness products. The store is well run, and there's an excellent pharmacy assistant already on the team. We're looking for an entrepreneurial pharmacist to lead the pharmacy and become the go-to pharmacist for our community.
What you'll do
- Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staff scheduling, workflow, and patient appointments
- Supervise and support the pharmacy team
- Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently in Kroll
- Oversee narcotic and controlled-substance records, counts, and reconciliations
- Manage inventory, ordering, and OTC stock and front-store categories
- Provide patient counselling, medication reviews, and injections, including vaccines
- Keep the pharmacy in compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists standards and ready for inspections
- Resolve patient concerns and build lasting relationships with patients and prescribers
- Help grow the business through clinical services and new ideas
Must-haves
- Registered as a Part A pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, in positive standing
- Authorized to administer injections
- Kroll experience
- Inventory and OTC stock management experience
Nice to have
- At least 1 year of community pharmacy experience
- Previous management or pharmacist-in-charge experience
