We are looking for motivated, skilled mechanics and experienced apprentices to join our Maintenance Group and help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Position Overview

Contrans is seeking qualified 310T Truck & Coach Mechanics, 310J Trailer Mechanics, and experienced apprentices to join our maintenance team. Successful candidates will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently and accurately.
- Complete repairs in accordance with applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.




- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
- Identify potential mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Stay current with industry practices, repair procedures, and advancements in vehicle technology.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Mechanic or 310J Trailer Technician certification, or relevant experience as an apprentice.
- Previous experience in truck, trailer, or commercial vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Must have a personal set of mechanic’s tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, motivated, and committed to quality workmanship.
