We are seeking to hire an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our our client located in Dorval. The Quality Assurance Inspector will support the activities of supplier quality control and inspection of manufacturing activities. Responsibilities to Include:
Inspecting completed parts, compare to requirements, and measure/document dimensional.
Participating in the calibration of gages and equipment Create/maintain FAI/PPAP documentation (FAI’s, Control Plans, etc).
Assist the purchasing department with Vendor quality control.
Participating in the non-conformance deficiency management process.
Participate in Root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow up and reporting.
Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Participate in Internal audits and all requirements of ISO 9001 Ability to interpret customer prints, technical specifications and quality assurance standards Strong understanding of GD&T; and machine shop and weld shop inspection techniques. Use a variety of inspection equipment to inspect parts/gages/fixtures.
Experience with Microsoft Office Programs Solid written/verbal communication skills Strong understanding of GD&T; and machine shop and weld shop inspection techniques. Use a variety of inspection equipment to inspect parts/gages/fixtures and determine compliance.
Requirements
Post-secondary education (University or College Degree)
in Mechanical / Industrial / Quality engineering or similar disciplines (preferred). Minimum three (3) years of experience working as a Quality Inspector in an ISO9001 (or AS9100) certified machining environment. Experience in working with ERP systems (Training will be provided for our specific system). Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications fluently. Strong technical background in quality control and inspection of large machinery and precision machined parts. Able to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with dimensional inspections of precision machined steel components.
Experience using inspection instruments.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards management. Minimum three (3) years of experience working as a Quality Inspector in an ISO9001 (or AS9100) certified machining environment. Strong technical background in quality control and inspection of large machinery and precision machined parts. Able to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications; strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage time on multiple projects. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
Benefits
Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Salary : 25$ to 28$ per hour
Start date: As soon as possible.
Location: Dorval.
