Job Description:

Junior Water Technician, Calgary Location. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for various field tasks to assist the distribution water team. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

- Environmental Technician Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science or other relevant Environmental Experience;
- Experience with soil and water sampling, or environmental monitoring is an asset, but not mandatory;
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, English language communication skills and good driving skills and be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and independently;
- Alberta Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conducting water measurements and collecting water samples at different sites, calibrate lab equipment, follow QA/QC and safety procedures. Significant daily driving, Calgary limits only.

Pay:



$20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30-40 per week, occasional overtime and after hour work.
