Job Overview

The Automotive Mechanic inspects, repairs, and maintains vehicles and related equipment, using sound mechanical knowledge and safe work practices. The role may involve automotive repair as well as industrial equipment, farm machinery, and heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and Caterpillar machinery. Your impact: dependable repairs help customers return to work and colleagues keep equipment operating safely.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, hand tools, and power tools; complete repairs, maintenance, and assembly.
- Inspect equipment, identify worn or damaged components, and explain findings and recommended work clearly to customers.
- Perform welding and HVAC-related tasks when needed, and support protected heavy lifting and equipment handling.
- Keep work areas and service records organized,



coordinating with colleagues to complete jobs efficiently.

Qualifications

Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, safe use of hand and power tools, and the ability to perform automotive repair, maintenance, and basic assembly tasks. Clear communication and customer service skills support accurate explanations and effective teamwork. Preferred: Mechanic experience, dealership experience, and electrical experience; familiarity with schematics, welding, HVAC, farm machinery, industrial equipment, Caterpillar equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and heavy equipment operation is advantageous.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
