ABOUT THE ROLE

Summit Heights Retirement Residence is seeking a part-time, casual Recreation Aide to join our team.

Schedule: Day shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and assist with exercise classes, games, crafts, music, movies and social events.
- Deliver activities as assigned by the Health and Wellness Director and Adult Day Program Coordinator.
- Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, needs and abilities.
- Set up equipment and activity spaces, including moving furniture as needed.
- Clean activity areas and equipment after programs, including washing dishes.
- Work with colleagues to provide a welcoming and engaging environment.

Qualifications:

- Experience and knowledge of recreation programming for seniors.
- Enthusiasm, creativity and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A respectful, skilled approach to supporting residents.
- One year of recreation or senior care experience is preferred.
