Part-Time Customer Service Assistant

Job Overview

Earth Options Pet Food is looking for an exceptional Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Mission, BC. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with customers, has advanced computer skills and takes pride in getting the details right.

You will answer customer questions, maintain accurate records and make outbound calls to follow up with customers and prospective leads. We’re in the pet food industry, so a love of dogs is a must!

Duties

- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email with friendly, professional service.
- Proactively call customers to check on their pet food needs and assist with reordering.
- Follow up on leads, explain our products and programs, and help prospective customers take the next step.
- Enter, update and maintain accurate customer information and follow-up notes.
- Track outstanding inquiries and follow through promptly.
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

- Robust customer service skills and a warm, professional telephone manner.
- Advanced computer skills,



including confidence working with email, spreadsheets, customer databases and multiple software applications.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Comfortable and enthusiastic about making outbound calls and following up on leads.
- Reliable, organized and able to manage tasks independently.
- A love of dogs and an interest in helping pet owners.
- Previous customer service, administrative or sales-support experience is an asset.

Schedule and Compensation

- Job type: Part-time
- Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
- Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
- Location: In person, Mission, BC
