We are seeking a skilled, dependable Drywall Installer to prepare and finish interior surfaces for residential or commercial projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in exact workmanship, follows job-site safety practices, and works well with a team. Construction experience is preferred; applicants with related carpentry, painting, or handyman experience are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall on walls and ceilings.
- Secure drywall panels and prepare surfaces for finishing.
- Apply joint compound, tape seams, sand surfaces, and complete repairs to achieve a smooth finish.
- Perform caulking and touch-up work as needed.
- Read project plans or blueprints to understand dimensions, layouts, and installation requirements.
- Assist with related carpentry and construction painting tasks when needed.
- Maintain tools and materials, keep work areas orderly, and follow safety procedures.
- Coordinate with coworkers and other trades to keep projects on schedule.
Skills
- Drywall installation and finishing experience.
- Construction experience, including familiarity with job-site tools and safety practices.
- Carpentry skills and the ability to measure and make accurate cuts.
- Construction painting and caulking experience.
- Blueprint reading skills or willingness to develop them.
