Account Executive, Hydrovac Services

Location: Lower Mainland, BC (field based)

Pay: $65,000 to $75,000 base salary plus uncapped commission

About Us

We are a growing hydro excavation company serving civil and excavation contractors, utilities, directional drillers and municipalities across the Lower Mainland. We are hiring our first dedicated Account Executive to grow the account base and keep it.

About the Role

This is a pure sales role. You are not running dispatch or managing the crew. Your job is to find contractors who need hydrovac, get our trucks on their sites, and make sure they keep calling us after the first job.

Most of your week is outside the office: on job sites, in contractor offices and on the phone. This is not a desk job and it is not an inbound order taking job. You build your own pipeline and you own your number.

What You Will Do

- Run cold outreach every week using ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, phone and email to reach estimators, project managers, superintendents and owners at civil, excavation, utility and drilling contractors
- Build and work a defined target list, track every touch, and move accounts from first contact to first ticket
- Visit active job sites to meet foremen and superintendents, learn what work is coming, and catch problems before they cost us the account
- Stay in regular contact with signed clients, not just prospects. Check in after jobs, ask what is next, and make sure our service is holding up
- Get us set up on approved vendor registries (ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks) and pursue master service agreements
- Bring back lapsed accounts
- Feed what you hear in the field back to operations so we can price and schedule better

What We Are Looking For

- 3+ years in a business to business outside sales role where you built your own pipeline. Construction services, equipment rental,



civil or utility suppliers preferred
- Comfortable cold calling and walking onto a site to introduce yourself
- You understand how construction work gets bought: who decides, when they decide, and what a schedule slip does to a site
- You keep clean notes and follow up when you say you will
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean abstract. You will be driving to sites across the Lower Mainland most days
- Existing relationships with Lower Mainland contractors are a strong asset

Preferred

- 2+ years of experience in hydrovac, vacuum truck, dewatering, shoring, traffic control or other site services
- Background at an equipment rental company (United Rentals, Sunbelt, Cooper, Battlefield or similar)
- Experience with ZoomInfo or a similar prospecting platform

How You Get Paid

- Base salary of $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience
- Uncapped commission on the gross margin of the accounts you bring in, paid monthly
- Ongoing commission on accounts you keep active, so staying close to clients pays you too
- Guaranteed ramp support for your first 90 days while you build pipeline

- Existing clients hear from you before they need to call us
- Trucks are booked because you kept the pipeline full, not because the phone happened to ring

Pay: $39,200.00-$137,000.00 per year
