The Meat Cutter prepares, cuts, packages, and handles meat while following food safety practices. This overnight role supports an organized, well-stocked department and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. This full-time role will be working overnights with the potential to start as early as 2am.
Here’s where you’ll have an impact:
- Prepare meat products
- Merchandise meat area if applicable
- Maintain meat department area
- Receive meat orders
- Performs special order meat product requests
- Participate in professional development
- Meet company meat standards and Canadian Food Inspection Agency regulations (CFIA)
- Adhere and implement all applicable company standards
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Provide technical training to current staff and clerks
- Assist Meat Manager/ Clerk Department Second Meat if applicable
What you bring to the table:
- Full knowledge of department operation and skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma
- Minimum 12 months of previous experience
