We are currently assisting with recruitment for a Health and Safety Advisor for a client in Sarnia Lambton to assist with Field Inspections and on site duties. The is a full time long term role.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Collaborate with management, employees, and external stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety culture, providing advice, guidance, and support on all matters related to health and safety.
- Deliver engaging health and safety training programs to employees at various levels, ensuring their understanding and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Stay up to date with relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices, and provide timely updates and recommendations to ensure compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent reoccurrence.




- Monitor and analyze health and safety performance indicators, prepare reports, and present findings to management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending appropriate actions.
- Foster a proactive approach to health and safety, encouraging employees to identify and report potential hazards, and actively participate in safety-related initiatives and programs.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years experience within the field
- Previous experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably within the Sarnia Lambton Area.
- Robust knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices relevant to the electrical industry and oil and gas sector.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and delivering training programs.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
