We’re on the hunt for a talented and dynamic Body Shop Estimator to help us drive success at our busy body shop. Could it be you?
What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Estimator of the Body Shop, you’ll work alongside our Body Shop Manager to keep the shop running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to for assisting in daily operations, handling estimates for both customers and insurance companies, and ensuring all the little details are spot on. Here’s a sneak peek of your day-to-day:
- Customer Walk-arounds: Help customers understand their vehicle’s condition and highlight any extra repairs that might be needed.
- Estimates & Submissions: Provide accurate, thorough labor and parts estimates to customers and/or insurance companies.
- Repair Oversight: Work with the Body Shop Manager on repair decisions, especially when vehicles are close to being written off.
- Parts Coordination: Team up with the parts department to cost out estimates, order the correct parts, and follow up to ensure everything is in place.
- Sublet Management: Get all sublet repairs organized and ensure they’re scheduled and handled properly.
- Customer Communication: Keep everyone in the loop on changes to estimates, repairs, and timing—no surprises here!
- Final Touches: Assist in explaining completed work and charges to customers while ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience:
Previous background as a Body Shop Administrator, Estimator, or Assistant Manager.
- Expertise: Strong estimating skills, especially in autobody collision repair, and a deep understanding of insurance procedures and ICBC repair guidelines.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with estimating software and strong organizational skills.
- People Person: Excellent communication skills, keeping customers satisfied.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach to helping your team meet goals
