Household & Family Assistant – Meal Prep, Housekeeping & Pet Care (Nanny Duties from Spring 2027)

$65,000 per year | Full-time, 9am–5pm | Gas card or vehicle provided | Meals included

We’re looking for a warm, reliable and hands-on Household & Family Assistant to help a family keep their home running smoothly. The role starts with cooking, cleaning and dog care. From spring 2027 it will grow to include nanny duties when the family welcomes a newborn.

You’ll be paid full-time from day one. The workload will be lighter in the first few months, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the family before the baby arrives.

How the role works

- In Vancouver: You’ll work 9am–5pm and drive to and from the family home each day.
- In Victoria: Around one week each month, you’ll travel with the family to Victoria. You’ll work 9am–5pm there and stay in a private, separate nanny suite.

What you’ll be doing

From the start:

- Planning and preparing three healthy meals a day for up to three people, including grocery shopping
- Keeping on top of household supplies and restocking as needed
- Walking, feeding and caring for the family’s friendly three-year-old Golden Retriever
- Keeping the home clean, tidy and welcoming, including laundry, dishes and general housekeeping
- Helping with meals, housekeeping and family needs during Victoria stays

From spring 2027:





- Supporting the family with newborn care, including some overnight help as needed
- Taking on a fuller schedule as the family’s needs grow

What’s included

- Salary of $65,000 per year
- A gas card if you use your own vehicle, or a vehicle provided if you don’t have one
- Private nanny suite during Victoria stays

What we’re looking for

- Confidence in the kitchen and enjoyment of cooking nutritious, home-style meals
- Experience in housekeeping, cooking, childcare, hospitality or a similar role
- Comfort and confidence around dogs
- Newborn or infant care experience, or a genuine interest in growing into a nanny role
- Flexibility with hours once the baby arrives, including some evenings and overnights
- Willingness to spend around one week a month in Victoria with the family
- A valid driver’s licence and a confident driving record (essential)
- Trustworthiness, discretion and a friendly, positive attitude
