Job Summary

The Production Assistant supports the kitchen team with large batch soup and meal production. This position is Monday-Thursday from 2PM- 12AM. This role includes preparing ingredients, packaging finished products, washing dishes and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

Duties

- Wash, peel, chop and prepare vegetables and other ingredients.
- Assist team with food preparation as directed.
- Accurately portion, seal, label, and date soups and meals.
- Wash dishes ,pots, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Lift and move ingredients, supplies and finished products safely.
- Receive and put away deliveries, rotate stock and organize storage areas.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment and kitchen surfaces.
- Sweep and mop floors, remove garbage and recycling, and complete end of shift cleanup.




- Follow food safety & production procedures.

Skills
Required: Ability to follow instructions, established procedures, and recipes. Attention to detail when preparing, portioning and labeling food. Valuable organization and time management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended period and also bending and lifting safely. Basic knowledge of kitchen cleanliness and food safety, and a willingness to learn and take direction.

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
