We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Kinesiologist and/or Athletic Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team just minutes from Barrie, Orillia, and Midland in the quaint village of Coldwater. In this role, you will have opportunity to provide assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation services to patients with diverse musculoskeletal conditions. Your proactive approach will help clients recover efficiently, regain mobility, and improve their overall quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment working with a Physiotherapist and Massage Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine injury severity and develop personalized treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize recovery outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) documenting assessments, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards
- Educate patients on injury prevention,
proper movement techniques, and rehabilitation exercises for long-term health perks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Manage caseloads efficiently by prioritizing patient needs while adhering to scheduled appointments and organizational protocols
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with SOAP documentation guidelines
- Exceptional organizational skills with effective time management
- Familiarity with Pilates and Strength and Conditioning is an asset and or willing to learn
