As an Automotive Glass Installer, you’ll remove and install vehicle glass, using careful workmanship and practical tool skills to support protected, reliable vehicle repairs. You’ll work with customers and colleagues to complete installations efficiently and leave vehicles ready for their next journey.
Duties
- Inspect vehicle glass and surrounding areas, identify installation needs, and prepare the work area and vehicle.
- Remove damaged glass, prepare surfaces, and install replacement glass using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Follow safe handling practices when lifting glass and other materials, and keep tools and the work area organized.
- Check completed work for fit and finish, and communicate repair progress or concerns to customers and colleagues.
Qualifications
Required: Practical mechanical knowledge,
safe use of hand tools and power tools, and the ability to handle heavy lifting are important for completing glass installations and related automotive repair tasks. Preferred: Dealership experience or mechanic experience can help you understand vehicle service workflows, work confidently around automotive systems, and coordinate repairs smoothly. Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
