Role Overview

We are recruiting a Service Technician for a North Vancouver-based industrial equipment company. This hands-on role involves servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial compressor systems and associated electrical controls, both in the shop and at customer sites.

This opportunity is ideal for either:

- A Compressor Technician looking to expand their electrical knowledge, or
- An Industrial Electrician/Controls Electrician interested in learning compressor systems.

Must-Haves

- Experience with industrial compressors, electrical controls, or both.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience working with control panels, breakers, relays, motor controls, or similar equipment.
- Valid driver's licence.

Nice-to-Haves

- Compressor service experience.
- Industrial Electrician, Controls Electrician, or Millwright background.
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and motor starters.
- Field service experience.

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial compressor systems.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in the field and in the shop.
- Install, wire, test, and commission equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.




- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.

Who This Role Suits

This role is best suited to a technician who enjoys solving both mechanical and electrical problems. Candidates with industrial controls experience, compressor experience, or a combination of both will be highly regarded.Please note: This is an industrial equipment service role and is not suited to applicants whose experience is limited to residential or commercial construction electrical work.
