Job Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level / Junior Welder to join our team. This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in welding and is eager to grow in a professional, safety-first shop.
This position is more welding-focused than fabrication-focused. You’ll be supported to improve your welding skills while assisting with basic shop tasks and light fit-up as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks (MIG and/or TIG depending on skill level and project needs)
- Prepare parts for welding (cleaning, deburring, grinding, basic fit-up)
- Follow weld procedures and shop instructions
- Read and interpret basic drawings and measurements (training provided as needed)
- Support the team with general shop tasks and material handling
- Perform basic quality checks (visual inspection, measuring as required)
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety rules
Qualifications (required)
- 1.5–5 years of welding experience (shop experience required)
- Comfortable with safe tool use (grinders, clamps, basic shop equipment)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to take feedback and improve quickly
- Interest in learning and working with aluminum, stainless, and steel (experience is an asset)
Assets (nice-to-have)
- Welding competency level C or B (asset)
- Welding tickets and/or completed welding program
- Basic blueprint reading
- Forklift experience
