Driver / Mover (Furniture Delivery)

CastleUp Experience Centre is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Driver / Mover to join our growing furniture, mattress, and appliance retail team.

This position is ideal for someone with an excellent driving record, a strong work ethic, and experience safely delivering and moving large household items. You will operate company delivery vehicles, including 3-ton trucks, and assist with loading, transportation, unloading, placement, and basic assembly.

As the face of our company during deliveries, you will help provide an exceptional customer experience while ensuring products arrive safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including 3-ton trucks, in accordance with your licence classification, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and promptly report mechanical, safety, or maintenance concerns.
- Complete customer deliveries throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other merchandise.
- Ensure products are properly secured to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Perform room-of-choice deliveries, including carrying and positioning products inside customers’ homes.
- Assist with furniture setup, assembly, and installation when required.
- Inspect products before loading and upon delivery to confirm order accuracy and product condition.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers.
- Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation as required.
- Safely navigate stairs, elevators, narrow spaces, and other residential delivery conditions.
- Work closely with warehouse, sales, and customer service staff to support efficient order fulfillment and delivery scheduling.




- Assist with incoming shipments and warehouse duties between delivery assignments.
- Maintain clean, organized, and presentable delivery vehicles and warehouse areas.
- Promptly report delivery concerns, accidents, injuries, or product damage.
- Follow workplace health and safety policies, including proper lifting and handling procedures.
- Perform other warehouse and delivery-related duties as required.

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with at least four years of driving experience.
- Excellent driving record and a clean driver’s abstract demonstrating safe driving habits.
- Previous experience operating a 3-ton truck, delivery truck, moving truck, or similar commercial vehicle.
- Experience delivering furniture, appliances, or other large products, or working in moving services, is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy furniture, mattresses, and appliances, including on stairs, using proper lifting techniques, team assistance, and moving equipment as required.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and stair climbing.
- Professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable navigating delivery routes using GPS and mobile devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a delivery team.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
- Basic furniture assembly experience is an asset.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
