Automotive Upholstery Assistant

Location: Vernon, BC
Wage: $22/hour starting
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7am–4pm

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Automotive Upholstery Assistant to join our production team. This position supports our Upholstery Department in producing high-quality seats, panels, and interior components for our vehicles. You’ll work closely with our lead upholsterers, assisting with a wide range of tasks to ensure every vehicle leaving our shop meets Simolo’s premium standards.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with upholstery preparation and installation
- Operate tools and equipment for stapling, cutting, gluing, and trimming materials
- Perform basic embroidery setup and operation (training provided)
- Operate our CNC fabric cutter (training provided)
- Cut and prepare fabric, foam, and vinyl for production




- Apply adhesives and ensure proper fit and finish of components
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Support the Upholstery Department with any task required to complete vehicle builds

Qualifications:

- Experience in upholstery, automotive interiors, furniture, or related fields is an asset
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced production setting
