Metals R Us Ltd. is a leading supplier of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and industrial metal products serving customers across manufacturing, fabrication, construction, marine, transportation, and industrial sectors.

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Receiver & Forklift Operator to join our Dartmouth team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating equipment safely, and working in a fast-paced industrial warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

- Inspect, measure and receive incoming steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and other metal products
- Use handheld scanner connected to ERP system
- Safely load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely as needed
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately
- Verify quantities and materials against shipping and receiving documents
- Assist with inventory organization and stock movement throughout the warehouse
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse best practices

Requirements

- Minimum 4 years of warehouse experience




- Extensive forklift operating experience (certification preferred but not required)
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and order picking
- Experience using handheld scanners is an asset
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Experience handling steel, aluminum, stainless steel, pipe, plate, tube, or other industrial materials is a solid asset
- Reliable transportation to Dartmouth, NS
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset
