Our client, a well-established international organization in Burlington, is seeking an adaptable and collaborative Accounting Specialist - AR to join their finance team. With a primary focus on Accounts Receivable, this role is well suited to someone who has developed a good understanding of customer account management, collections, payment processing, and reconciliations. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will play an key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, with some additional support required in Accounts Payable and month-end activities.

Responsibilities:

- Set up customer accounts, process payments,



and maintain accurate customer balances and aging reports.
- Manage collections and proactively follow up on outstanding customer accounts.
- Review payment terms, process credit card transactions, and coordinate bank deposits.
- Complete bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
- Provide support with Accounts Payable and month-end activities during busy periods and team absences.
- Work closely with internal Sales and Customer Service teams, as well as a diverse portfolio of external customers.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to assist with accounting functions outside of AR when needed.
- French bilingualism and/or experience within the architectural hardware or construction industry would be considered an asset.
