Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to provide garment alterations, repairs, and fitting services. The ideal candidate takes pride in precise workmanship, communicates well with customers, and can manage multiple requests while maintaining high-quality results.

Duties

- Measure customers and garments to determine alteration needs and ensure a comfortable, accurate fit.
- Pin, mark, cut, sew, hem, and alter clothing using hand-sewing techniques and sewing machines.
- Repair garments, including replacing zippers, buttons, and linings, and mending seams or tears.
- Discuss requested changes with customers, explain available options, and provide attentive customer service.
- Keep track of garments, alteration details, and completion timelines.
- Inspect finished work for fit, durability, and quality before returning garments to customers.




- Maintain sewing equipment and keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

Skills

- Experience with tailoring, garment alterations, sewing, or clothing repair preferred.
- Proficiency with sewing machines and common tailoring tools.
- Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and measurement accuracy.
- Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating adjustments, and tracking work.
- Transparent communication and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to organize tasks, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and work independently.

Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
