Objective:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/GM, the Maintenance Associates will be responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all hotel facilities, grounds & equipment in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

- Performs quality preventative maintenance of all guest rooms and common areas. This includes plumbing, painting etc.
- Demonstrates familiarity with the hotel’s life safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating issues which affect the security of the hotel.
- Snow removal and grounds work
- Service maintenance requests from guests and associates in a friendly and qualified manner.
- Be committed to a culture of a “green” hotel and actively participate in initiatives as well as seeking out opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle.
- Complies with all provincial and federal regulations pertaining to building and fire code requirements, health and life safety programs.
- Maintains safe work practices and the use of environmentally sound practices.
- Follow all PPE required
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures.
- Must be able to work with little supervision
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications and Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education:

- Must possess a minimum of 1-2 years of maintenance experience preferably in a hotel or residential complex.
- Must possess knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing. Tickets preferred
- Hands on experience with trouble shooting.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and statutory holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is a hotel setting, which has the following conditions: low-medium noise environment

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
