Job Overview
The HVAC Technician installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This hands-on role involves diagnosing equipment issues, completing service work, and supporting secure, reliable operation across building systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect HVAC equipment, identify faults, and complete repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems using schematics, then explain findings and recommended work clearly.
- Service boilers and related plumbing components, and assist with appliance repair as needed.
- Apply safe work practices during installation and repair, coordinating tasks with colleagues on site.
Qualifications
Required:
Practical HVAC and mechanical knowledge, sound troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow schematics and complete maintenance tasks carefully. Preferred: Mechanic experience, plumbing, welding, boiler service, appliance repair, or construction experience that supports effective diagnosis and repair across varied equipment and building systems. Candidates who are entered into the apprenticeship system will be given priority
