Therapy With a Purpose. A Team With a Vision.

At Flow Mental Health, we’re building something different.

We’re creating a virtual mental healthcare organization where exceptional clinicians work together to provide thoughtful, specialized care that helps clients achieve meaningful, lasting change.

We’re currently hiring two Registered Psychologists, with at least one position dedicated to a psychologist who has substantial experience and expertise working with children and adolescents.

We believe that exceptional mental healthcare requires more than individual expertise. It requires collaboration, different clinical perspectives, and a shared commitment to understanding clients at a deeper level.

We’re looking for psychologists who want to contribute to that vision while maintaining their professional independence.

Why Join Flow?

A Team Committed to Meaningful Change

Our clinical team includes psychotherapists and social workers specializing in trauma-focused psychotherapy, EMDR, dissociation-informed care, and other evidence-based approaches.

We’re looking for psychologists who enjoy collaborating with other professionals, exploring complex presentations, and helping inform individualized treatment plans.

We want psychological assessment to be more than a separate service. We want it to become a meaningful part of a coordinated approach to care.

Our vision is to bring skilled, independent practitioners together to achieve better outcomes for the clients we serve.

Strong Potential for Assessment Referrals

Our clinicians regularly identify clients who would benefit from psychological assessments, diagnostic clarification, and additional clinical insight.

Currently, many of these clients are referred to external providers.

By integrating psychological assessment services into Flow, we hope to strengthen continuity of care and create opportunities for closer collaboration between assessing and treating clinicians.

Given our existing referral needs and continued growth, we anticipate strong potential for assessment volume, although specific referral numbers and caseloads are not guaranteed.

Collaboration Without Compromising Independence

We believe collaboration and professional autonomy go hand in hand.

As an independent contractor, you’ll maintain control over your clinical judgment, assessment approaches, professional recommendations, and availability.

We respect the expertise psychologists bring to their work and want their perspectives to help shape and strengthen our approach to care.

We’re not looking for professionals to simply follow an organizational model. We’re looking for individuals who want to contribute to building one.

A Commitment to Clinical Excellence

Flow specializes in trauma-focused psychotherapy, with particular expertise in complex trauma and dissociation-informed care.

We value thoughtful assessment, diagnostic accuracy, evidence-informed practice, and ongoing professional development.

Our goal is to build a clinical community where professionals can learn from one another while remaining accountable to their own professional standards.

Areas of Practice

We’re particularly interested in psychologists who can provide:

- Comprehensive psychological assessments
- Diagnostic clarification and differential diagnosis
- Assessment of complex trauma-related presentations
- Evaluation of dissociative symptoms and disorders
- Assessment of anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, and related conditions
- Treatment recommendations informed by assessment findings
- Cooperative clinical consultation with treating clinicians

Additional assessment specializations are welcome.

Child & Adolescent Psychology – Priority Position

At least one of our two available positions will be filled by a psychologist with demonstrated expertise in working with children and adolescents.

For this position, we’re particularly interested in experience with:

- Psychological assessments of children and adolescents
- Childhood trauma and complex emotional or behavioral presentations
- Anxiety, mood disorders, and other childhood mental health concerns
- ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental presentations, where within the psychologist’s competence
- Developmentally appropriate assessment and diagnostic clarification
- Collaboration with parents, caregivers, and treating clinicians

We value psychologists who understand the developmental considerations involved in assessing young people and can translate assessment findings into practical recommendations for treatment and support.

Virtual Assessment Requirements

Flow operates as a virtual mental healthcare organization.

Applicants must be comfortable providing psychological assessment and consultation services remotely, using assessment methods and tools appropriate for virtual delivery.

We recognize that certain assessments, particularly some child, adolescent, and neurodevelopmental evaluations, may require in-person components.

Psychologists will retain responsibility for determining whether an assessment can be completed appropriately through virtual services, whether additional arrangements are needed, or whether an in-person referral is more suitable.

Who We’re Looking For

Successful candidates will:

- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
- Be authorized to provide psychological assessment and diagnostic services within their areas of competence.
- Have experience conducting comprehensive assessments and preparing clinically useful reports.
- Enjoy collaborating with psychotherapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Value professional independence alongside interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ethical practice.
- Be comfortable providing appropriate virtual psychological assessment services to Ontario clients.
- Want to contribute to a growing organization committed to improving mental healthcare.

For at least one position, substantial experience and demonstrated competence in child and adolescent psychological assessment are required.

Experience with complex trauma, dissociation, and differential diagnosis is a significant asset.

EMDR training is not required for these assessment-focused positions.

Compensation & Practice Support

Earn $150 per billable hour, representing a 60% clinician share of our $250 hourly assessment and consultation rate.

Flow offers:

- Versatile independent contractor arrangements
- Strong potential for internal assessment referrals
- Administrative coordination and referral support
- Opportunities for collaborative case consultation
- A growing network of specialized mental health clinicians
- A professional environment that respects clinical autonomy

Billable assessment activities and fee arrangements will be established in the independent contractor agreement.

Help Us Build Something Exceptional

At Flow, we believe the strongest clinical teams are built from skilled, independent professionals who respect one another’s expertise and share a commitment to exceptional care.

We’re looking for two psychologists who want to help us develop a more connected approach to mental healthcare.

Professionals who value thoughtful assessment, enjoy discussing complex cases, and believe collaboration can lead to a deeper understanding of clients and more effective treatment.

If you’re looking to maintain your independence while being part of a team committed to meaningful change, we’d love to hear from you.
