Overview

Under the direction of the Thrift Store Manager, the Retail Supervisor oversees Thrift Store operations and performs duties to ensure smooth and productive functioning. Onboards, trains, inspires, and provides direction to store employees in general retail skills and tasks.
The Volunteer Co-ordinator - Retail Supervisor supports volunteers and day-to-day retail operations through clear communication, organized coordination, and practical team leadership. This role brings people together, helps activities run smoothly, and contributes to effective community-facing service.

Duties

- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, occupational health and safety, scheduling, and day-to-day support, helping volunteers understand their responsibilities and feel prepared.
- Supervise retail activities, guide team members, and use leadership and teaching skills to support consistent, welcoming service.
- Strong administration skills. Collect and maintain data and administrative records to track activity, share updates, and inform improvements.

Requirements

Required: Practical leadership, clear communication, organization, and data collection skills to coordinate people, support retail activities, and maintain accurate records. Preferred: Supervising and administrative experience, plus strengths in recruiting, project management, and teaching that help engage volunteers and deliver well-coordinated activities. Ensure day to day operations are consistently organized and maintained.

Pay: From $28.53 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
