Sloan StoneDESIGN is the fastest-growing local countertop fabricator manufacturing high quality quartz, natural stone, and porcelain countertops. We are a company that has successfully set a standard for high quality stone countertops from fabrication to installation. Currently, we are looking for an afternoon Polisher with flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Hours: 3:00pm - 1:30am, Monday - Thursday including flexibility to work occasional Overtime

Duties and Responsibilities

- Read and follow work order specifications
- Grind and polish quartz and other stone surfaces to desired finish according to process and using appropriate tools in a safe manner (i.e., air/water polisher)
- Inspect polished projects and follow procedures to address any issues
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Provide feedback to supervisor regarding process improvements
- General cleanliness and maintenance of workstations and fabrication shop
- Other duties and responsibilities as required to support the general operation of the fabrication shop

Qualifications

- A minimum of one (1)



year experience as a polisher of stone surface counter tops (Considered an asset)
- Ability to repetitively stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and safely handle heavy loads
- Solid attention to detail and keen eye for precision
- Good interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented with strong work ethic
- High level of responsibility and reliability, with effective time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
