Job Summary

Grit Security is seeking a dedicated and dependable Security Guard Supervisor to oversee daily security operations, lead frontline security personnel, and help maintain a safe, secure, and well organized environment.

In this role, you will play an important part in coordinating security teams, monitoring surveillance activities, supporting loss prevention initiatives, and ensuring established security procedures are consistently followed. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to guide a team while remaining actively involved in daily security operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership & Shift Coordination: Assign security posts, coordinate shift schedules and coverage, and ensure guards are properly briefed on daily priorities, site procedures, and operational updates.
- Surveillance & Incident Management: Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems, identify and assess suspicious or unusual activity, and guide security personnel in responding to incidents appropriately.
- Patrols & Site Inspections: Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify potential security risks, safety concerns, and loss-prevention issues, ensuring concerns are promptly addressed and escalated.
- Staff Coaching & Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to security team members to maintain professional standards and consistent performance.
- Reporting & Documentation: Review incident reports, daily activity logs, and other security documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Operational Communication: Work closely with security personnel, management, and relevant stakeholders to maintain effective communication and reliable site coverage.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Completion of Basic Security Training (BST).
- Advanced Security Training (AST) is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in security supervision, team leadership, or a related security role is preferred.
- Experience in CCTV monitoring, surveillance operations, loss prevention, or law enforcement is an advantage.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
