What You'll Do

As a Grader/Sorter, you'll play an important role in helping process recyclable materials safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

- Sorting and grading scrap metal materials
- Removing debris and preparing materials for processing
- Assisting with yard clean-up and maintenance
- Greasing and cleaning equipment including shredders and shears
- Supporting railroad maintenance and facility improvement projects
- Reporting equipment issues and safety concerns




- Assisting other departments and team members as needed
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and productive work environment

Qualifications

- Valid driver's license
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to walk, bend, crouch, climb, push, pull, and work on uneven surfaces
- Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred

- Experience in recycling, scrap yards, construction, manufacturing, warehousing, landscaping, demolition, or other industrial environments
