Duties
- Prepare pizza dough from scratch or using pre-made bases, ensuring consistency and quality in every pie
- Select and measure fresh ingredients such as sauces, cheeses, meats, vegetables, and herbs to craft flavorful pizzas
- Operate ovens and other kitchen equipment safely to cook pizzas to perfection with proper timing and temperature control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station, adhering to strict food handling and safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various menu items
- Serve pizzas promptly to ensure hot and fresh delivery to customers or dining area
- Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant procedures to uphold hygiene standards at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation or food service is highly preferred; restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety standards within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques specific to pizza making and general kitchen operations
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, food safety, and restaurant procedures
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks effectively
