Job description

KadTek is growing and looking for talented professionals to join our team. We’re currently hiring an Intermediate Automation Specialist to support a variety of industrial automation projects and help deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive input
- Assist in developing and reviewing engineering deliverables
- Communicate with clients and vendors under guidance to support smooth project execution
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and process engineers, to support integrated system design
- Help develop and execute testing documentation plans
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications
- Provide post-installation support and perform project close-out activities
- Assist in resolving automation-related issues onsite and remotely
- Share knowledge and provide informal guidance to peers on technical tasks




- Support proposal development and assist with technical scoping for new projects

Desired Skills and Experience

- 4+ years of experience in Industrial Automation (Oil & Gas preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism in client engagement and collaboration
- Strong collaboration skills to help drive technical progress and ensure timely deliverables
- Engineering Degree, Technology Diploma or Journeyman Certificate

Technical Experience (Assets)

Experience in the following areas is considered an asset; not all are required:

- PLC: Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens
- DCS: Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, Siemens, Foxboro
- SCADA: GeoSCADA, VTScada, Ignition, Aveva Pi
- Other: OT networking, hosting and common services
