Iron Mountain Equipment Rentals Ltd. is an independent full line equipment rental company. We specialize in everything from all size excavating and road building equipment, compaction, material handling & earth moving as well as ariel equipment.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Counter Person who is ready to grow their career with a leading company in the industry. We are currently searching for a qualified and ambitious individual ready to increase revenue for the branch through exceptional customer service and inside sales.
The primary objective for this position is to help with the store counter duties and increase rentals /sales for the branch, provide direction with yard/shop duties, dispatch instructions to truck drivers, billing.
Education, Experience and Required Skills minimum requirements:
- 2 years equivalent/relevant experience and knowledge of construction or related equipment is mandatory. Candidates with comparable industry experience may be considered
- Previous counter/customer service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and related field essential.
- Motivated, energetic and well organized self starters with excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to the public
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of rental equipment
- Demonstrates an understanding of rental software
- Able to multi-task and prioritize, possesses effective organizational, and time management skills
- Professional, polite, friendly and helpful demeanor
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- An ability to function well as part of a team but able to function independently
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Handle dispatch responsibilities as needed
- Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Ability to negotiate rental contract rates
- Determine equipment available for rental
- Perform inventory control processes
- Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage and fuel levels for billing purposes Inspect equipment and trucks for safety decals and compliance, and ensure that equipment in good working order
- May assist in educating customers on equipment and demonstrating equipment for customer
- Follows proper cash account procedures
- Complete customer billing
- Responsible for providing direction to yard/shop personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned by Owner
Wage/Compensation: Wage is hourly based, $23-$27/hr, negotiable according to experience
