Intertek needs a part time Grain Inspector in Hamilton, Ontario, combining quality testing with precise sample handling and grain grading.
As part of Intertek’s Agriteam, the Grain Inspector supports vessel loading while assessing grain, canola, and pulse crops. This position requires CGC-standard grading experience and testing knowledge. Daily activities include laboratory measurements, composite samples, paperwork, PPE use, and shipping communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grade grain, canola, and pulse crops during vessel loading
- Conduct moisture, protein, Falling Number, and DON tests
- Divide samples for retention and composite preparation
- Document inspection activities through required paperwork
- Use and maintain required personal protective equipment
Requirements:
- Previous grain grading experience meeting CGC standards
- English literacy, numeracy, and communication abilities
- Capacity to collaborate with terminal shipping personnel
- Willingness and ability to work shifts
- Ability to contribute within a team
